Las Vegas - mostly Fremont -- Las Vegas Plaza off Fremont Street. Downtown Las Vegas is home to smaller casinos that offer more the feel of early Las Vegas. Most prefer the luxury of the Las Vegas Strip. Recommend you visit the downtown for the Fremont Street Experience, but stay on the strip unless your budget is very tight in which case you are more likely to find budget rooms downtown. However, careful shopping offer great prices all around Las Vegas Sun-Thursday. It's harder to find low rates on Friday and Saturday (and sometimes Thursdays!), so book early and use many sources.
